Farzana Doctor will be reading from her third novel, All Inclusive, which remembers the Air India tragedy through
the ghost of an unknown father.
Eisha Marjara will be reading from her debut young-adult novel about a teen struggling with anorexia.
Lata Pada will present excerpts from her 1995 dance drama Revealed by Fire and speak about how dance has been a transformative force in dealing with the grief and emotional trauma following the loss of family in the Air India tragedy.
Renée Sarojini Saklikar will be reading from her Children of Air India, un/authorized exhibits and interjections, a series of elegiac sequences exploring the nature of individual loss, situated within public trauma. The book won the 2014 Canadian Authors Association Award for poetry and was a finalist for the 2014 Dorothy Livesay Poetry Award.
Padma Viswanathan will be reading from The Ever After of Ashwin Rao, which was a finalist for the 2014 Scotiabank Giller Prize. The novel addresses the emotional aftereffects of the 1985 bombing of an Air India jet.
